Imagined Futures

What is the drive that keeps us going? Whose voice speaks in our minds with insatiable appetite for something not yet seen, or heard, or touched?

Is it possible that the voice exists in objects made by skilled hands in other places in time; that the making of those objects was the search for answers to questions of our own; that the existence of those objects reflects the strength of a never ending search passed from one generation to the next?
